Events dedicated to March 5 - Physical Education and Sports Day were held in general education institutions under the Baku City Education Department (BCED).

Students were informed about the purpose and importance of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports at the events organized in the districts of the capital.

The students talked about the sports policy successfully implemented by President Ilham Aliyev in our country, the high attention and care paid to sports and athletes in our country. It was noted that our country has become one of the strongest sports centers in the world today, hosting the world's most prestigious sports competitions at a high level. They also talked about the annual improvement of sports infrastructure in general education institutions, the increase in the number of successful students in sports.

It should be noted that in order to increase students' interest in sports and promote a healthy lifestyle, on the eve of March 5 - Physical Education and Sports Day, the Ministry of Education implemented the "Sports Week" project covering all schools from February 28 to March 4.

The project is of special importance in terms of strengthening the health of students, ensuring their physical development, the sustainability of positive emotions, the development of sports and physical education, the goals set for the education system to ensure publicity in this area.
