The family, who live in the French department of Marne, found an 18th-century artist Jean-Honore Fragonard's "Philosopher Reads" in their apartment, which has been uninhabited for more than a century.

This was reported by Radio Europe 1.

According to the report, the painting was discovered during an inventory of the apartment.

The originality of the work has already been confirmed. Its value is estimated at around two million euros.
