Recently, the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Physics of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University (ASPU), Associate Professor Khankishi Mammadov published a new book entitled "ADPU - 100 Faculty of Physics" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of ADPU.

This book, written about the history of the Faculty of Physics of the Pedagogical University, talks about the activities of the faculty over the past 100 years, looks at its past and present. The book is also very important in terms of studying the history of Azerbaijani physics.

The book opens with the "Foreword" by the rector of ADPU, doctor of historical sciences, professor Jafar Jafarov. Prof. Jafarov notes that the Faculty of Physics has a special weight and share in the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel necessary for our country. We can see this more clearly and precisely when we look at the hundred-year history of the faculty.

The work examines the history of the faculty in three stages (1921-1927, 1927-1968 and 1968-2021), provides interesting information about the outstanding graduates of the faculty, graduates who are an example to young people, the present day of the faculty. It should be noted that the development of the rich traditions of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, which is preparing for its 100th anniversary against the background of educational reforms in Azerbaijan under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, is aimed at training young teachers who can meet the growing demands of modern times. The structure of the Faculty of Physics also has a great role. In this regard, as a valuable historical and scientific research work, Assoc. Kh.Mammadov's book is one of the special contributions to the 100th anniversary.
