On May 26, a presentation ceremony dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Azerbaijan's Independence called "Azerbaijan, opened to the world with the Republic" was held at the National Museum of Azerbaijan History.

Opening the event, Academician Naila Valikhanli, director of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History, congratulated the guests on the occasion of the 105th year of our independence and noted that the values of the Republic, which laid the foundation of the history of Azerbaijan's national statehood, retain their importance for the modern statehood of Azerbaijan.
In his speech, the head of the Organizing Committee of the "Rasulzade House-Museum" Public Group, doctor of historical sciences, professor Solmaz Rustamova-Tohidi concluded that the event was held in a new context, giving a general overview of the work done in the field of researching the history of the Republic and creating works of art in the last 32 years since the restoration of our independence. He noted that it aims to determine the new tasks facing scientists and artists in connection with the history of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its importance, as well as the memory of the figures of the Republic.
The activity of institutions that have contributed to the research of the history of the Republic, the work of scientists and artists who have created works in various fields on this topic, with the map of Azerbaijan on the dial, "Azerbaijan-105. 1918-1923" continued with the awarding ceremony with a special watch collection of the "OBaku" brand, which was produced in 105 units.
At the event, the staff of ASU, associate professor of the Department of Caucasian Studies and History of Azerbaijan, Shalala Bagirova, who was involved in the study of the heritage of the Republic, presented the article "Patronage and organization of health care during the Azerbaijan People's Republic" published in 2019, and director of the Turkic World Research Center, doctor of philological sciences, associate professor Elchin Ibrahimov. They were awarded for their monograph "Azerbaijan People's Republic: Language Issues" published in 2018.
