Sabuhi Kahramanov, PhD in Philology, director of the "Elm" publishing house of ANAS, chairman of the Azerbaijan branch of the European Association of Scientific Editors (EASE), represented our country at the XVII General Assembly of EASE held in Istanbul, Turkey.

It was reported that Mehmet Mirat Satoğlu, director of the National Academic Network and Information Center (ULAKBIM) operating under TUBITAK within the framework of the event, S. Kahramanov held meetings with researchers and specialists from different countries, discussed the professional development of scientific editors, the global standard of scientific editing and closely participated in the discussions aimed at improving its quality.

The director of "Elm" publishing house also participated in the conference on "Quality scientific publication" organized within the XVII General Assembly of EASE. At the conference, which was attended by about 200 scientists and specialists from 36 countries, "Scientific publishing: quality, ethics and integrity - what good scientific publishing should look like?", "What does quality mean for publishers, editors and authors, and do we adapt to it?", "For indexing sessions on quality indicators requirements" and other topics were held.
