In recent years, there has been an increase in the tendency of schoolchildren to bad habits.
Thus, many schoolchildren who are out of parental control are addicted to life-threatening habits, such as smoking, alcohol, and drugs. As a result, the student misses school and questions his future. That student leads not only himself, but also his close friends to this abyss.
How can we protect our children from these and other harmful habits? In general, what psychological factors lead to this lifestyle of children?
Well-known psychologist Tariyel Faziloglu, head of the HUMEL psychology center, told Cebhe.info that there are social and psychological reasons for this:
"In today's world, you can't keep people away in a revolutionary way. In today's world, smartphones in people's hands have a direct impact on overcoming all prohibitions. Because for some reason you will try to protect children, but after picking up the phone, he can see everything he wants to see and be interested in. Today, two factors underlie the rapid addiction of children to smoking, alcohol and drugs in Azerbaijan. One is a psychological factor and the other is a social factor. The social factor is that real relationships turn into virtual relationships. Since there are no restrictions in the virtual world, he can find information and get an image of everything he wants there. When he applies what he sees, such a thing arises as a result. Second, today they often do not spend time with their children, because the virtual world binds their parents to them. As a result, children grow up quite spontaneously, uncontrollably, and make their own decisions.
Because they can't learn anything from their parents, they learn everything, even life, by discovering it themselves. As a result, there are problems that we consider - smoking, alcohol, drug addiction.
According to the psychologist, in order to prevent such cases, psychologists must work with children in schools: “Two main measures must be taken to prevent such cases. First, mass psychological awareness should be provided in Azerbaijan. Second, a more professional system should be established for psychological work in schools. At least the appointment of a school psychologist for every 60 children can play a big role in solving this problem. ”
