According to the order of the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), an award ceremony was held for the employees of this higher education institution who were awarded the "Advanced Education Worker" badge and honorary diploma.

Speaking at the event, Rector Vilayat Valiyev congratulated the winners and wished them success. The rector also reminded that a group of professors and teachers were awarded by the orders of President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of AzTU and thanked the head of state for giving such an award to the university staff. He said that currently the main goal is to develop AzTU at the level of the best universities in the region, to improve the quality of education. For this purpose, the experience of Turkey, as well as a number of foreign universities has been widely used recently.
