On June 7, 2021, at the Faculty of Philology of Baku State University was held a preliminary discussion of the dissertation of Mursalov Rizvan Javankhan oglu on "Semantics of phraseological combinations of quantitative elements in the Azerbaijani and English languages."

For the first time in the research work, the quantitative elemental phraseological combinations in the Azerbaijani and English languages ​​were studied extensively and selectively, the semantic features of different numerical phraseological combinations were analyzed in a complex way in terms of synonymy and antonymy. For the first time, idioms, wise sayings, proverbs, and proverbs have been extensively studied at the sentence and text levels on the basis of Azerbaijani and English language materials due to their rich shades of meaning and variety of forms.

The results obtained in the dissertation can be used in the preparation of textbooks and teaching aids on phraseological combinations, lectures and seminars on lexicology and grammar of English in universities.
