A webinar on "Let's learn the truth about drugs" was held at Baku Slavic University (BSU) on June 30.

 

The event is dedicated to June 26 - International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The purpose of the webinar was to form an anti-drug outlook in students. It should be noted that the webinar was held in accordance with the relevant letters of the State Commission for Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Education.


The moderator of the event, Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs of BSU, Associate Professor Ms. Sultanova said that the webinar held today at the university on "Learning the truth about drugs" serves to educate students.

 

At present, drug trafficking has become one of the biggest threats to the world. In this regard, holding today's event is important.


Speaking at the event, Sadir Mammadov, Head of the Department of Azerbaijani Studies and Slavistics of the BSU Research Laboratories, spoke on "Let's learn the truth about drugs", Aygun Aliyeva, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Pedagogical Faculty spoke on "Psychological Consequences of Drugs". In their speeches, they analyzed the brutal impact of drug trafficking on society, especially young people, and advised students to stay away from drugs.


The event ended with answering questions from students.
