The 5th annual meeting of the Board of the Belt and Road International Medical Education Alliance was held under the auspices of the Chinese Medical University. Professor Deliang Wen, Chairman of BRIMEA, President of CTU, spoke at the meeting and gave detailed information about the agenda of the meeting, the work done by the organization and future plans.
The meeting discussed and approved the membership of 10 universities from China, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan in BRIMEA.
Following the Board meeting, the 5th International Forum on Higher Medical Education was held. This meeting is dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the Institute of International Medical Education and Research of the Chinese Medical University. At the opening ceremony of the event, a video summarizing the meetings of the international forum held in previous years, as well as congratulatory speeches by the heads of member organizations, including the rector of AMU, Professor Garay Garaybeyli, was shown. Then the heads of various universities and international educational institutions made congratulatory speeches.
During the three-session forum, experts from China, the United States, Turkey, Pakistan, South Africa, Kazakhstan, the Philippines, Romania and Kyrgyzstan presented reports on various issues of medical education. Azerbaijan Medical University was represented by Mushfig Orujov, Head of the International Relations Department, Associate Professor. He also co-chaired the third session of the forum. The forum was also attended by the head of the department of medical education and innovation of AMU Aynur Orujova.
