Today, the Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARTI) celebrates its 90th anniversary.
The foundation of the current Institute of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ARTI) was laid on July 1, 1931 on the basis of the Scientific-Research Pedagogical Cabinet of the Azerbaijan People's Commissariat of Education and the laboratory of the Baku Department of Public Education. Starting to operate in the form of a small department and several groups, the Institute has expanded and expanded its activities. Already in 2000, ARTI has become an institution consisting of scientific departments and studying current issues of pedagogy.
Currently, ARTI consists of 5 departments and 5 centers. Theoretical and practical issues of education, including the definition of priorities for education policy and research in strategic planning, improving quality indicators in educational institutions, expanding educational opportunities and equal opportunities for students. It covers such areas as conducting research, scientific and pedagogical research and training of scientific and pedagogical staff, development of content and assessment standards of education at different levels of education, model (variable) curricula and quality standards of education.
At the same time, ARTI provides guidance on the inclusion of education in various educational institutions, the organization of psychological services, the proper organization of work with gifted children and the use of educational resources, the development of e-learning and e-content, national and international assessment research, education regulatory framework. Carries out activities such as preparation of relevant documents, conducting scientific research, implementation of projects aimed at education reform.
