An online symposium was organized by Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) and Istanbul Technical University of Turkey (ITU).

The symposium is dedicated to the defense of the dissertations of fourth-year undergraduate students of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science of AzTU and the Faculty of Mining of ITU.

At the opening of the event, the rectors of both universities - Professors Vilayat Valiyev and Ismail Koyuncu - wished success to the symposium.

Speaking at the symposium, the dean of the Maden faculty of ITU Cengiz Kuzu said that such an event was held for the first time with AzTU. He said that the symposium will be held annually. After the opening ceremony, the symposium continued with section meetings.

7 students of the Faculty of Metallurgy and Materials Science of AzTU participated in the symposium with their articles. According to the decision made at the closing ceremony of the symposium, from the next academic year, the supervisors of the final work of the fourth year will be elected from AzTU and ITU.
