In 2020, the relative number of places allocated for the Azerbaijani section of the master's degree has increased mainly due to the places allocated for the joint competition of both sections.

The State Examination Center told Tehsil.biz that compared to the previous year, the relative weight of planned places in the Azerbaijani section increased from 69.66 percent to 75.59 percent. The relative weight of planned places in the Russian section decreased from 3.39% to 3.35%, and for the joint competition of both sections from 26.95% to 21.06%.

Azerbaijan State University of Economics has the largest number of places in the master's degree admission plan. The admission plan of this educational institution accounted for 20.96 percent of the total planned places for state higher education institutions. The admission plan for the master's degree of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics was equal to 45.94% of the planned places for the bachelor's degree of this educational institution. This is due to the fact that the master's program is conducted on the basis of various international projects.
