The staff of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University visited the Alley of Martyrs in the Guba region on the eve of the anniversary of the fighting that began on July 12, 2020 along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in the Tovuz region.

During the visit, the memory of the martyrs of the Tovuz battles was commemorated, and carnations were laid at the graves of the martyrs.

Director of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Associate Professor Yusif Aliyev said that today is one of the most important dates for Azerbaijan. The director looked at the history of heavy artillery shelling of villages in Tovuz region as a result of border violations by the enemy. He said that 2020 entered the history of Azerbaijan as a heroic history in the battles to silence the enemy on the spot and destroy the firing points. Dos.Y. Aliyev called the September 27 Patriotic War a continuation of the Tovuz battles. Azerbaijan has bowed to the souls of the martyrs who died for its territorial integrity. He noted that thanks to such sons, our lands, which had been under enemy occupation for 30 years, were liberated. He stressed that this victory is a proof of the confidence of the Azerbaijani people and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Azerbaijani Army. During the war, the country's foreign and domestic policy was once again proved to be in the right direction. During the war, the people clearly saw that the Azerbaijani soldier was fighting shoulder to shoulder with the general and was not as headless as before: “The appreciative people of Azerbaijan will never forget the memory of the martyrs. We owe it to them to live their unfinished lives. "

The dean of the pedagogical faculty of the branch, Ph.D. Galamshah Idrisov, said that although the Armenians treacherously attacked Azerbaijan, thanks to the courage of the heroic sons, the enemy received a decent response: “The events in Tovuz are the beginning of this response. No matter how treacherous hands are extended to the land, the enemy must know that the people of Azerbaijan will always unite closely around the President and fight for territorial integrity. The spirit of the martyrs is a school of spiritual education for us.

Eyvaz Sheydayev, a senior lecturer at the Department of Literature and Languages, stressed that the highest human right is the right to life. The sons whose graves we saw in the Alley of Martyrs were able to sacrifice these rights for the Motherland. E. Sheydayev recalled the message given by President Ilham Aliyev to the people in the first days of the war. He said that the Supreme Commander-in-Chief said, "In order to protect our lands, we need to go to the military commissariat, not to the Milli Majlis," and the whole nation took up arms and mobilized.

Aysel Sheydayeva, Deputy Director for Educational Affairs of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, said that the names of the martyrs were written in history with such heroism and will never be forgotten. He noted that it is everyone's civic duty to remember them, to pay attention to their families, not only on anniversaries, but at any time of the year. A. Sheydayeva asked God to bless our martyrs.

During the visit, the collective witnessed the visit of the son of Ali Khudayev, the father of the first martyr of Guba region Yashar Khudayev, who rose to the peak of martyrdom on the first day of the war. The martyr's father met his son and talked to him spiritually at the grave. Director of the branch dos.Y. Aliyev approached the martyr's father and stressed that they shared his grief and were proud of his son. The martyr thanked his father. He said that the whole team bowed to him for raising such a son.

Ali Khudayev, the father of the martyr Yashar Khudayev, said he was proud of his son and it will always be like this: “Long live the motherland. May God have mercy on our martyrs. Each is my son. It was at their expense that our lands were liberated. We must not let them be forgotten. "

During a conversation with the martyr's father, Aliyev said he was very impressed by his short but meaningful speech: “Thanks to the heroism of sons like Yashar, we were proud. Because of their blood, this stain on our foreheads was removed. Human life consists of birth and death. Yashar, on the other hand, has a life that will consist of the whole nation in this short period of time. We bow before you. It's good that there are parents like you. "

The director also instructed the staff to prepare a catalog that will commemorate the memory and birthdays of all the martyrs of the Guba region. He said that this will integrate the commemoration of each of them on the anniversary and birthday. The director stressed that each of us must be with the families of martyrs in ideological and fundamental issues. Aliyev praised the creation of a spring named after Yashar Khudayev in the village on the initiative of the martyr's father. He said that this is also a charity.
