Within the framework of the Baku City Education Department and Qafqazinfo's "Let's get to know our heroic teachers" project, we present to readers the biography of Ruslan Agamaliyev, a teacher who took part in the Great Patriotic War:

Ruslan Anvar oglu Agamaliyev, who took part in the glorious victory in the Great Patriotic War and taught patriotism on the battlefield, was born in 1978.

In 1995, he graduated from secondary school No. 144 in Baku. In 1995-1999 he studied at the Faculty of History of Baku State University.

Since 2000, he has been working as a history teacher at secondary school No. 157 in the capital.

R.Agamaliyev, who served as a lieutenant in Fizuli region in 2002-2004, completed his service with the rank of senior lieutenant.

As soon as the Patriotic War broke out, R. Agamaliyev went to the frontline and took part in the battles in Fuzuli, Jabrayil and Khojavend. He was awarded the medals "For the Liberation of Jabrayil", "For the Liberation of Fuzuli", "For the Liberation of Khojavend" and "Brave Warrior" for his services in the Great Patriotic War.

Accepting the path to our victory engraved in golden letters as the happiest period of his life, R. Agamaliyev said that as a history teacher, it was a historic chance to take part in the sacred battle of the Azerbaijani Army.
