Baku Business University hosted the second meeting of project managers within the Erasmus + project "Creation of the Conference of Rectors in Azerbaijan".

The event was attended by officials of 15 Azerbaijani universities, members of the project consortium, Tehsil.biz reports. According to the purpose of the meeting, first of all, the project managers got acquainted.

Then, moderated by the project coordinator Gulshan Bayramova, extensive discussions were held on the activities envisaged in accordance with the work plan of the project, organizational issues related to the implementation of the project, as well as measures to publicize the project activities.

In the end, the managers specified the work to be done in the next stages and set a number of tasks.

It should be noted that the purpose of this project is to develop comprehensive cooperation between universities through a conference of rectors in accordance with national development strategies. The successful implementation of the project will provide significant support for the integration of the Azerbaijani higher education system into the Bologna process, as well as lay the foundation for fruitful cooperation with relevant partners at the international level for the exchange of knowledge, skills and experience.

The project identifies new formats of cooperation between local universities and European universities. In the next stages, Azerbaijani universities will have a chance to become members of a number of international organizations.

At the same time, the conference will create a basis for the representation of Azerbaijani universities in the international arena. The conference will be a major support to the internationalization of educational programs of local universities and increase the competitiveness of universities.
