A group of staff of Baku State University (BSU) visited the family and grave of Shamil Najafov, a graduate of the Faculty of International Relations and Economics, who was martyred in the Great Patriotic War.
The visit was attended by the head of the Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy of BSU Ramin Samadov, chairman of the Trade Union Committee Rashad Jabarov and members of the Student Youth Organization.
The students said they were proud that Shamil Najafov fought heroically for the Motherland and rose to the peak of martyrdom. It was noted that Shamil, who was selected as an exemplary student during his studies at BSU, will always live in the hearts of both teachers and fellow students and will be an example for future generations.
The parents of the martyr thanked the country's leadership for their attention and care, noting that our lands were liberated from the enemy as a result of the successful policy pursued by the head of state. They stressed that they are proud as the parents of soldiers who fought valiantly for their homeland.
It should be noted that dozens of BSU graduates took part in the Patriotic War, 18 of them rose to the peak of martyrdom. An Action Plan has been developed at BSU to honor the memory of our holy martyrs, to pay attention and care to the families of our graduates, to study and solve the educational problems of our veteran students. In accordance with the Action Plan, the families of the martyred graduates are regularly visited.
