The university said that the book presented by the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan (ACSDA) reflects the heroic deeds of our people for the liberation of Karabakh. The book dedicated to the liberation of Shusha from enemy occupation, which is of great importance in the history of Azerbaijan, protection of national-spiritual and cultural heritage, as well as socio-political life, has been published in Azerbaijani, Turkish, English and Russian languages.

First of all, President Ilham Aliyev's Order "On declaring Shusha the capital of culture of Azerbaijan" dated May 7, 2021 and "Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey signed on June 15, 2021 in Shusha" are important sources for our state and people. Shusha Declaration on Allied Relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan ”is brought to the readers' attention.

"Ilham Aliyev: Dear Shusha, we are back!", Covering our modern heroic history. The book consists of sections entitled "Official Chronicle" and "Shusha (brief history)".

In the "Official Chronicle" section, President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva's joyful appeals and congratulations to the people of Azerbaijan on the liberation of Shusha, statements made during their visits to Shusha and messages to the world community, and the work to be done to restore Shusha. reflected. Also, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized a grand music festival "Kharibulbul" in Shusha, a musical composition "Musical heritage and Karabakh horses on the plain" presented to the participants, joint statements of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey on the Shusha Declaration, President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Baku. His speech and other materials were included in the special session of the Milli Majlis.

The "Shusha (brief history)" section of the publication presents the history of Shusha, the text of the Kurakchay Treaty, which formalized the annexation of the Karabakh Khanate to Tsarist Russia, and provides readers with detailed information about Shusha after this treaty. The section also contains brief information about the struggle for independence in Azerbaijan and the Armenian occupation (1988-1993) and the liberation of Shusha during the Second Karabakh War.

This valuable book, which will be one of the important sources for teaching faculty and students in the history of Azerbaijan at ASAU, is the next publication in the series "Book 1905.az" of the Association for Civil Society Development in Azerbaijan. The author and publisher of the idea of ​​the publication is the President of the Association Elkhan Suleymanov, the compiler and scientific editor is Doctor of Philosophy in Political Sciences, Honored Journalist Fuad Babayev.
