There are 2 studios, 2 media centers and 1 research laboratory at the faculty:

• “Journalism” research laboratory

About 600 students study at the faculty. More than 50 professors and teachers are involved in the education of students. Among the teaching staff, 1 person is awarded the Order of Honor, 1 person is a laureate of the State Prize, 1 person is a personal pensioner of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 6 people are Honored Journalists, 6 people are laureates of the Higher Media Award, 2 people are Medals of Progress, 3 people are Advanced Educators. The studio, renovated on the basis of a joint project of BSU and TIKA, has been equipped with the most modern equipment since 2016.

The main purpose of establishing a teaching TV and radio studio is to help students apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and improve their creative skills. TV and radio programs and projects prepared by the students of the faculty in the studio are broadcasted on "BSU TV" Youtube channel and social networks.

The faculty regularly organizes walking tours for students, various competitions, meetings with well-known media and public figures of the country. Students actively participate in faculty and university events, as well as nationwide events.
