A meeting with participants of the "School of Sustainable Development" project organized by the Youth Union of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) was held at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) on August 5.
According to Tehsil.biz, first of all, the director of the UNEC Career Center Ramil Jabbarov acquainted the youth with the conditions created at the university. Project participants visited the new memorial complex "UNEC Martyrs" created in the courtyard of the university. After getting acquainted with the UNEC External Center, reading room, library and museum, the meeting continued in the assembly hall.
Adalat Muradov, a member of the YAP Board and rector of the Azerbaijan State Economic University, addressed the youth on "The role of education in solving problems in society." First of all, the rector spoke about the innovations at the university, the work done to improve the quality of education, the plans and measures taken.
"The importance attached to education in Azerbaijan is very high," Muradov said, noting that all segments of society in our country attach special value to education: "There is no problem that can not be solved through education. According to empirical research, the worldwide average is at least 25-30 percent interested in education. This means that education can become a source of danger in society when measures are taken that do not coincide with their interests. When interests are taken into account, education can be supported by gaining the sympathy of at least 30 percent of the society. It is very difficult to ensure these interests. It is very difficult to reconcile the interests of the learner and the educator. As a rule, the learner uses every option to ensure that the grades that reflect the results of the study are high and easy to obtain. Educators have a slightly different approach. In many cases, society evaluates what is happening in education and its children in terms of its impact. It is certainly important to ensure these interests. But this requires very serious efforts. "
"As a rule, the places where higher education centers are located are the centers of innovative development of countries," he said, citing Stanford University in the United States, Cambridge University in the United Kingdom and Shanghai University in China. They also give a serious impetus to the development.
Chairman of the YAP Youth Union Bakhtiyar Islamov thanked Adalat Muradov, a member of the YAP Board and rector of the Azerbaijan State Economic University, for his valuable views. Emphasizing that the participants include both YAP members and neutral youth, the speaker said that this initiative will contribute to the formation of healthy and sustainable communication among all young people, regardless of their socio-political views in society.
Afterwards, questions of interest to young people were answered at the event held in the form of a discussion.
