On August 5, at the Azerbaijan-French University (UFAZ) operating under the Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, the head of the Department of Education Abroad of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Ali Kamil Sadegh al-Saffar and First Secretary of the Iraqi Embassy in Azerbaijan Dr. There was a meeting with Huthaifa Mahmoud.

The meeting was also attended by Nijat Mammadli, Head of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tural Bayramov, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Education and Kamil Piriyev, Head of the PR and International Relations Department of UFAZ.

During the meeting, the guests were touched upon the establishment of UFAZ as a result of the initiative of the Presidents of Azerbaijan and France and were given detailed information about the educational institution. The guests also got acquainted with the teaching conditions and laboratories of UFAZ, as well as the programs taught here.

During the discussions, the sides exchanged views on future opportunities for Iraqi students to study at Azerbaijani universities, including UFAZ, at the bachelor's and master's levels.
