Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) and SPM Oil and Gas have signed an agreement on cooperation in organizing professional development of youth.

According to Tehsil.biz, the cooperation between the parties covers issues within their charters, areas of activity and powers.

The agreement aims to jointly implement logistical, scientific, methodological and organizational measures in the training and dissemination of knowledge in the specialties of Oil and Gas Engineering, Process Automation Engineering and Master of Business Administration (MBA). At the same time, the Company's support in enriching the library fund of BANM with technical literature and audio-video materials published in English for use in training, organization of lectures by BANM specialists for BANM students within the training programs implemented at BANM, It is planned to support the implementation of research projects, ensure the participation of BANM teachers and students in the Company's corporate events, and award the Company's awards to BANM students who excel in scientific conferences and other events.

The Agreement provides for the support of BANM in the establishment of a specialized training laboratory equipped with appropriate equipment in the space allocated by the Parties for cooperation with the Company, the possibility of involving the Company's specialists in teaching subjects as part of BANM training programs, the provision of Company scholarships , as well as the participation of BANM students in summer internship programs and internship opportunities for BANM students in the company's structures.

The Agreement also provides for the organization of short-term internship courses for BANM students for students within the scope of the Company's activities and at SPM Oil and Gas training centers operating abroad.

The cooperation agreement was signed by the rector of the Baku Higher Oil School Elmar Gasimov and the head of SPM Oil and Gas Elnur Gulamov. This Agreement will initially cover a period of 5 years.

SPM Oil and Gas provides its products and services to oil and gas companies engaged in oil production, refining and transportation. It should be noted that the Baku Higher Oil School was established as a state higher education institution by the Decree of President Ilham Aliyev "On changes in the structure of the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan" dated November 29, 2011. BANM was established to meet the needs of SOCAR and other industries expanding its activities in Azerbaijan and abroad to highly qualified engineers trained in English on the basis of modern training programs and training technologies.
