The Confucius Institute at the Azerbaijan University of Languages ​​(AUL) held an online seminar entitled "Summer School: Chinese Language and Learning Methods."

Director of the Confucius Institute Rafig Abbasov spoke about the recent interest among students in the Chinese language, Azerbaijani-Chinese cooperation in education, emphasizing the importance of the agreements signed during the visits of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev to China. He informed the students about the activities of the Confucius Institute of AUL in the field of education, culture and enlightenment, scientific research on Azerbaijan's participation in the implementation of the "One Belt - One Road" project initiated by China. Rafig Abbasov also spoke about the books of national leader Heydar Aliyev and President Ilham Aliyev on the activities of Azerbaijan-China in the development of friendly relations. He also noted the importance of methodological aids, programs and the first national Chinese language textbook prepared by AUL for the study of Chinese language in Azerbaijan.

Nigar Gojayeva, an employee of the Confucius Institute, spoke about the history of the Chinese language. He spoke about the contribution of Jiang Zhen, the founder of Chinese writing, the historian of the palace of the legendary emperor Huang Ding, who created pictograms after the old hieroglyphs, to the development of this language. He also spoke about the methods of learning the Chinese language and informed the students about the programs that will be useful in the summer months. Speaking about the work of the official Chinese language test center at the Confucius Institute, Gojayeva said that the Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) and Hanyu Shuiping Kouyu Kaoshi (HSKK) exams in Chinese were held.
