Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations of the Azerbaijan Theological Institute (ATI), Doctor of Philosophy Mirniyaz Mursalov spoke online at the International European Conference on Interdisciplinary Research.

Speaking on "The role of enlightenment in the fight against religious radicalism," Mursalov said that the issue of religious security is as important as national security. He stressed that the growth of radical groups in the world, especially in Islamic countries, makes it necessary to pay special attention to the issue of religious security. "It is important to systematically educate young people so that such groups do not find support in society and prevent the spread of radical ideas," he said.

The rapporteur also said that educational institutions should have national staff who put the interests of their country in the organization of religious education.

It should be noted that the international conference was attended by representatives from around the world in Poland.
