Agrarian University and Aegean University have signed a dual degree program

Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ASAU) and Aegean University of Turkey signed a dual degree program on August 9.

Taking part in the online ceremony, Education Minister Emin Amrullayev stressed the importance of the dual degree program and stressed that such cooperation will contribute to the further deepening of relations between the two countries in the field of education.

It was stated at the ceremony that the program is designed at the bachelor's level in 4 specialties (plant protection, agronomy, agro-engineering and economics). Under the program, starting in 2021, 120 students will receive 3 years of free education at ADAU and 1 year at Aegean University. The dual degree program is planned to be funded under the "State Program for Increasing the International Competitiveness of the Higher Education System in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2023".

Taking part in the signing ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ilhama Gadimova, Rector of Ege University Necdet Budak and Rector of ADAU Ibrahim Jafarov praised the expansion of cooperation between the two universities as an important step and thanked everyone who contributed to this work.

Later, the two universities signed an agreement on an online dual degree program. After the signing ceremony, questions from the media were answered.
