On August 12, 2021, an open-air chess tournament was held among students organized by the Sports and Health Center of Baku State University and the Student Youth Organization.

August 12 - The winner of the tournament dedicated to the International Youth Day was a second-year student of the Faculty of Law Fakhraddin Shafiyev. Mahammad Mirzayev, a fourth-year student of the Faculty of Biology, took the second place, and Murad Huseynli, a third-year student of the Faculty of History, took the third place.

The winners of the tournament were awarded diplomas.
