Hafis Hajiyev, Associate Professor of Accounting and Auditing at UNEC, has been appointed Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.

Hajiyev graduated with honors from the Azerbaijan State Economic Institute (UNEC) in 1997 with a degree in Accounting, Control and Analysis of Economic Activity. After graduating from the institute, he worked as a laboratory assistant and senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Accounting and Auditing. Since February 2002, he has been working as a teacher at the same department, and since June 2008, he has been working as a senior teacher.

In 2006 he defended his dissertation on "Improvement of accounting and analysis of production efficiency in peasant farms" and received the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.

He has been a member of the US Institute of Internal Auditors since 2006.

He has published about 80 scientific and educational works on various topical issues of the economy, including accounting, auditing and economic analysis.
