The school year in Russia will begin on September 1 in a visual format.

The statement came from Russian Education Minister Sergei Kravtsov, Tehsil.biz reports. The Minister stressed the importance of students meeting with teachers on the first day of the school year. Kravtsov added that each region has the right to make decisions based on the epidemiological situation.

The Minister of Education also opposed the mandatory vaccination of teachers, pupils and students.
