Huseyn Gambarov, a third-year student of the Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) majoring in Information Security, represented Azerbaijan in the international competition organized by WorldSkills Asia in the field of cyber security.
In this prestigious competition, in which Azerbaijan participated for the first time, the BANM student took the 4th place with a total of 707 points among 122 delegates from 26 countries and raised the name of Azerbaijan to the 3rd place after South Korea and Russia.
It also showed the highest results in the "Data Leakage Prevention" category. Huseyn Gambarov's high ranking among 122 delegates from 26 countries is a success of the Azerbaijani education system.
It should be noted that Huseyn Gambarov showed high results in the national selection round held last month and won the right to participate in international competitions.
Azerbaijan has joined the WorldSkills movement in 2020, which promotes professional skills at the international level. Hundreds of young engineers in 80 areas competed in this competition, applying their knowledge on real projects for 3 days.
