On August 28, 2021, the XVII International Scientific Symposium "Karabakh: The Road to Victory" was held in Gothenburg (Sweden).

An international scientific symposium organized by ELGER International Science Center, Institute of Geography named after academician H.Aliyev of ANAS, Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Nakhchivan Teachers' Institute together with Gothenburg University of Sweden was also attended by the  Dean of the School of Economics and Business of the Western Caspian University, Ph.D., prof. Parviz Gurbanov and the master student of the University Zuleykha Heydarova. The  professor and the master  student of our university spoke at the symposium with a scientific article entitled "Prospects for the development of railway tourism in Azerbaijan."
