Employees of the Baku Engineering University (BMU) took part in the Bootcamp organized by the Innovation Center of the State Agency for Citizen Services and Social Innovations under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the transition to the Mentoring Specialization Program within the Skills for the Future project.
Our employees - Elchin Yusubov, Arif Najimov, Samir Guliyev, Tahira Salayeva and Ulvi Yagubov - were active in various panel discussions and trainings. They will support university students as "Startup Mentors" from October this year, after participating in additional practical trainings organized by the Innovation Center until the end of September.
The two-day event featured panel discussions on "Innovation and Education: A New Way to Development" and "Edu-Tech." In addition, trainings on "Everything for the future", "How to build a startup?", "Leadership skills", "Mentoring, techniques and mechanisms" and "Ideas and innovation" were held, discussions with university leaders and meetings with various startups were organized. .
It should be noted that the "Skills for the Future" project, launched in April 2021, aims to increase human resources in the field of innovation, support innovation in education, support students in the educational process to develop innovative ideas and discoveries that play an important role in the country's technological development. is the redirection to the field. The project consists of two components, including a mentoring program to train teachers as mentors in universities and an incubation program to train students as startups with the participation of mentors.
