Today is celebrated as Knowledge Day in Azerbaijan.

Until 2004, Knowledge Day fell on September 1. However, according to the decree of President Ilham Aliyev dated August 21, 2004, it was decided to start classes in all educational institutions of Azerbaijan on September 15.

Thus, that day was marked as the Day of Knowledge.

It should be noted that due to the ongoing quarantine regime in Azerbaijan, this year, full-time education in educational institutions across the country will begin on September 22 for grades l-IV, and on September 29 for grades V-XI and higher education.
