The 28th International Book Fair and the 19th International Book Festival have opened in the Chinese capital.

The exhibition and festival, attended by about 2,200 participants from 105 countries, aims to promote cultural exchange between peoples. Some participants are attending the largest book fair in Asia online due to the pandemic. In total, more than 300,000 publications are on display, and the latest technologies, including 5G and virtual reality technology, are widely used.

Many cultural events will be organized as part of the exhibition and festival, which will last until September 18.

It should be noted that the organizers of the Beijing International Book Fair, which has been held since 1986, are the State Broadcasting and Publishing Administration of China, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Municipality of Beijing, and the Chinese Publishers and Writers Association.
