The Sumgayit Regional State Fire Control Department of the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) held fire awareness campaigns at a number of secondary schools in Sumgayit, as well as at the integrated boarding school and vocational school No. 10.

The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told AZERTAC that the event, which was attended by heads, teachers and technical staff of enterprises, provided detailed information on fire safety rules in educational institutions. The working style of the firefighting equipment, the characteristics of the initial intervention in the fire and the evacuation of students during the fire were discussed, and detailed information was provided about the 112 hotline of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

It was noted that the areas must be kept clean, buildings and facilities must be provided with primary firefighting equipment in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents. The event also stressed the importance of informing the staff about the rules of conduct in case of fire, as well as compiling and hanging memory books on fire safety rules, and keeping fire-fighting water supply facilities in good condition.
