Today, the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AUAC) commemorated the martyrs of the Great Patriotic War on September 27 - Remembrance Day. The rector of the university, faculty and students bowed to the memory of students and graduates of the university who were killed in the war in front of the photo-exhibitions organized in the "Martyrs' Memorial Corner" located in the educational building No. 1. At 12.00, a minute of silence was observed in memory of all the martyrs who died in the war for the liberation of our lands from enemy occupation.

Opening the event, AzUAC Rector, Professor Gulchohra Mammadova said that Azerbaijani lands had been occupied by Armenian invaders for about 30 years. He said that he liberated our lands in the 44-day war by inflicting crushing blows. The rector thanked our heroes for giving this feeling of victory to our people, emphasizing that our heroes, who rose to the peak of martyrdom on this path, have gained immortality and we are indebted to them all our lives.
