244,054 students will study in V-XI grades of educational institutions subordinated to the Baku City Education Department.

It was noted that there are a total of 471,661 students in general education institutions operating under the auspices of the ITUC. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 25,189 five-year-olds are expected to be involved in school preparation in 276 general education institutions in Baku.

There are 28,467 teachers in general education institutions operating under the auspices of the ITUC.

According to the order "On the activities of general education in the 2021-2022 academic year" signed by the Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev, the first lessons in educational institutions were "Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" dedicated to the topic.

It should be noted that a total of 323 educational institutions operate under the auspices of the ITUC, including 310 general education schools, 3 special general secondary schools, 5 part-time evening schools and 5 Child and Youth Development Centers.
