The next stage of the Ministry of Education's "5th Grant Competition for Development and Innovation in Education" project "Preparing talented students for subject Olympiads by increasing the professional development of teachers" has started at the Bilasuvar boarding school-lyceum.
The head of the project, Mehman Aliyev, told AZERTAC's regional correspondent that the aim of the project is to organize training groups to prepare talented students for subject olympiads by increasing the professional development of school teachers.
According to the criteria set before the trainings, 10 teachers were selected, including 2 teachers of Azerbaijani language and literature, mathematics, and 1 teacher of physics, chemistry, biology, geography, history and computer science.
The trainings were organized in cooperation with the experts and trainers involved in the project in cooperation with the Department of Talented Children of the Institute of Education. Such cooperation will have a positive impact on both the progress of the project and the organization of trainings.
The topics of the training sessions include the method of preparing Olympiad questions on the subject (open and closed), the development of teachers 'research skills on Olympiad topics, the formation of students' writing skills on the subject and the development of skills related to distance learning.
In the next stage of the project, a diagnostic exam will be organized for grades 8-11 to organize Olympic classes. This exam will help to identify talented children in the relevant grades of the school. Then the Olympic lessons will be organized by the selected and instructed teachers of the school for 3 months. During three months, a total of 10 teachers in 8 subjects will organize classes for 2 age groups (64 people).
The project is implemented until December 15.
