On October 1, 2021, the implementation of the joint action plan adopted for the current academic year within the framework of cooperation between Mingachevir State University (MSU) and Baku State University (BSU) began.
According to the action plan, first of all, the opening ceremony of a joint project "Master Classes" was held by experienced professors and teachers of BSU in various areas, well-known scientists to give lectures to young employees, students and masters of MSU.
Hamiz Mahmudov, Advisor to the Rector of Moscow State University, made an introductory speech at the opening of the project, which was organized online on the Microsoft Teams platform. First of all, he conveyed the greetings of Rector Shahin Bayramov to the participants. It was noted that the cooperation established with the signing of a protocol of cooperation between BSU and MSU, the flagship of higher education in Azerbaijan, on September 30, 2019, has been successfully continued for two years.
At the same time, the importance and content of the multifaceted joint action plan for the 2021/2022 academic year, agreed by the rectors of both universities within the framework of cooperation, was brought to attention. Thanks were expressed to the management and staff of both universities, who contributed to the holding of joint events aimed at strengthening the academic potential of MSU.
After the moderator, Head of the Department of Science and Innovations Vugar Mustafayev gave detailed information on the speaker and the topic in accordance with the program, the first lecture was started within the "Master Classes" project.
The lecture was given by Gurban Gasimov, Doctor of Philosophy in Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor of "Operations Research and Probability Theory", Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics, BSU. The lecture on "Application of probability theory" was attended by students and masters of MSU, members of the young academic staff studying in relevant specialties.
In the lecture, Associate Professor G. Gasimov commented on the solution of specific problems on the theory of probability in multiprocessor systems through the mathematical package "Maple 2020", studied the algorithm "regulation by direct input", the distribution of the central limit in practical problems, spoke about the theorems on density and their application.
Students and teachers of MSU exchanged views on the topic of the lecture and answered questions. The participants of the lecture thanked the experienced pedagogue-scientist of BSU G.Gasimova and everyone who supported the development of cooperation and expressed their satisfaction with the implementation of the project.
Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy of MSU Nizami Zeynalov, Head of the Department of Science and Innovations Vugar Mustafayev and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of BSU Aytekin Efendiyeva praised the initiative among friendly universities. They expressed confidence that this type of activity will continue.
The next lecture will be held on October 5 by Niftali Gojayev, Professor of "Optics and Molecular Physics" Department of Physics, BSU, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
It should be noted that in order to improve the quality of higher education services and strengthen the academic capacity of MSU, which is rapidly advancing on the path of modernization, special attention is paid to cooperation with BSU, the flagship and oldest higher education institution in the country. Within the framework of this cooperation, student exchange and joint participation in international projects have been carried out over the past two years, and students and teachers of MSU have been provided with the opportunity to join events of various formats organized at BSU.
In order to increase the intensity and results-oriented cooperation, both universities have adopted a multifaceted joint action plan to be implemented in the current academic year. Aimed at contributing to the comprehensive development of students and graduate students, academic and administrative staff, this action plan includes master classes, conferences, scientific seminars, trainings, exchange of experiences and student-oriented activities of various contents.
