Students of Baku State University (BSU) met with the family of Kenan Niftali oglu Mammadov, a graduate of the Faculty of Philology, who fought heroically in the Great Patriotic War, and visited his grave in Alpout village of Ujar region.
The visit was attended by the head of the Department of Humanitarian Affairs and Youth Policy of BSU Ramin Samadov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philology Anar Farajov, academic adviser of the faculty Natavan Aliyeva and students. Speakers at the visit said they were proud of Kanan Mammadov's heroic struggle for the homeland and his rise to the peak of martyrdom, and his heroism was an example for students. It was noted that Kanan Mammadov, who was selected as an exemplary student during his studies, will always live in the hearts of both teachers and fellow students and will be an example for future generations.
Then the grave of the martyr was visited together with his family members and relatives, flowers were laid in front of his grave and prayers were said for his soul.
It should be noted that Kanan Mammadov studied at the Faculty of Philology of BSU in 2013-2017, fought heroically for the freedom of our lands in the 44-day Patriotic War and was martyred on October 2, 2021 in the battles in the direction of Murovdag.
