As reported, Aybaniz Hashimova, daughter of the martyred National Hero, Major General Polad Hashimov, will study at the Azerbaijan Medical University.

Today, the rector of AMU, Professor Garay Garaybeyli received the young student and his mother Ofelya Salmanova, Tehsil.biz reports.

Congratulating Hashimova on joining the large family of the Medical University, the rector touched upon the anniversary of the Great Patriotic War. He said that thanks to all our martyrs, including Polad Hashimov, our army no longer celebrates the days of occupation of our regions, but the dates of liberation with great pride: “This historic victory has brought a completely different spirit and leadership to the people of Azerbaijan. As a result of the wisdom of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the heroism of all our servicemen from soldiers to generals and the united fist of the Azerbaijani people, we have achieved the long-awaited victory and eliminated 30 years of injustice.

Garay Garaybeyli said that the loss of a parent is very heavy for everyone, adding that if Polad Hashimov was Aybaniz's only daughter before his martyrdom, then he is a child of all Azerbaijan.

Then the rector of the Medical University informed about its history and expressed satisfaction that the daughter of our general will be a member of the AMU family for at least 6 years.

Wishing Aybaniz Hashimova success in education, the rector of AMU presented her with a student card and a laptop as a gift on behalf of the university.

It was also noted that by the decision of the Academic Council of the university, A. Hashimova was awarded an additional scholarship in the amount of 200 manat.

Expressing gratitude to the university administration for the attention, Ofelya Salmanova said she was confident that her daughter would live up to the expectations of her teachers and grow up to be a good doctor.

It should be noted that the meeting was attended by AMU Vice-Rector for Education, Professor Sabir Aliyev, Vice-Rector for Education, Associate Professor Zulfugar Musabayov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee, Associate Professor Jahangir Gasimov, Head of Education Department, Associate Professor Samir Javadov, Dean of the I Treatment and Prevention Department, Associate Professor Elshad Novruzov, Head of the Press Service Gunel Aslanova were present.
