Rector of the Azerbaijan Theological Institute (ATI), Associate Professor Agil Shirinov held a meeting with teachers in connection with the beginning of the new school year.

According to Tehsil.biz, AII Rector Agil Shirinov first congratulated all teachers on the beginning of the new school year and October 5 - Teacher's Day. Emphasizing the importance of education for society and the people, the rector shared national leader Heydar Aliyev's views on education: “Society cannot develop without education. Uneducated people face many problems in order to spend their lives in modern conditions.

Agil Shirinov also stressed the successful education policy pursued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. "Azerbaijani teachers have historically had a great contribution to the formation of the intellectual potential of our people," he said.

Rector of AII Agil Shirinov then touched upon the issues on the agenda. He noted that teachers need to work more closely with students on the transition to full-time education after the pandemic.

Sharing his views on further improving the quality of education, the rector further said that additional courses should be organized to increase the effectiveness of lessons, especially language subjects. Shirinov noted that regular meetings with students should be organized and problems related to education should be resolved.

The head of the AII also touched upon the issue of improving the quality of scientific research and increasing the activities of the teaching staff.

The rector also stressed the importance of following the rules of the quarantine regime for the continuation of full-time education.

The meeting continued with a discussion of the issues on the agenda.
