100 years have passed since the birth of prominent scientist, honored scientist, professor Tamerlan Aziz oglu Aliyev.
On this occasion, a bas-relief of Tamerlan Aziz oglu Aliyev was unveiled at the Neurology Department of the Azerbaijan Medical University's Teaching Therapeutic Clinic.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Rector of Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU), Professor Garay Garaybeyli called Tamerlan Aliyev a leading representative of Azerbaijan's medical science and health: “Prominent scientist Tamerlan Aliyev had undeniable services in the development of medical science in our country. Professor T.Aliyev, distinguished by his high human qualities, also made an unprecedented contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel for Azerbaijan. The 100th anniversary of Tamerlan Aliyev, whose period of activity is associated with the Medical University, is widely celebrated in our university.
The rector said that a series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor T. Aliyev have already started at AMU. So, last week the university hosted a conference of young scientists and students. Tomorrow, an international congress with the participation of representatives of 13 leading scientific institutions and universities of the world will start at AMU. The three-day event will be attended by guests from universities in France, England, Turkey, Canada, the United States and Turkey.
Tamfira Aliyeva, daughter of prominent scientist T.Aliyev, thanked the AMU leadership for the attention. Sharing her memories of her father, Tamfira Aliyeva said that her years at the Medical University played an important role in her working life. Then the bas-relief was unveiled.
The ceremony was attended by family members and relatives of Tamerlan Aliyev, as well as representatives of AMU.
