Tehsil.biz reports that Orkhan Akif oglu Karimli was born on October 6, 2001 in the city of Goychay. Orkhan, who studied at Nakhchivan State University, has been serving in the Azerbaijani Armed Forces since 2019.

Orkhan Karimli, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, took part in the battles in the direction of Murovdag during the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020 to liberate the territories occupied by Armenia by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and restore the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. Orkhan Karimli was heroically martyred on October 9 during the Murovdag battles. Our martyr was buried in the Alley of Martyrs in Goychay.

According to the Order of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated 15.12.2020, Orkhan Karimli was posthumously awarded the medal "For the Motherland" for participating in combat operations to ensure the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and honorably performing his duties during the implementation of tasks assigned to the military unit.
