Svetlana Aliyeva, associate professor of the Department of Dermatovenereology of the Azerbaijan Medical University (AMU), has died.

Tehsil.biz reports that S.Aliyeva died yesterday at the age of 82.

It should be noted that Svetlana Aliyeva studied at the treatment and prevention faculty of ATI named after N.Narimanov in 1956-1962. In 1962-1966 he began his career as a graduate student at the Department of "Human and Animal Physiology" AUL named after SM Kirov.

In 1966-1970 he worked as a senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Dermatovenereology of AMU.

From 1995 to the end of his life he worked as an associate professor at the same department. In 2000, he was awarded the title of "Honorary Doctor".

In 2009, S.Aliyeva was awarded the "Decree of Honor" by the rector of AMU in connection with the 70th anniversary. He is the author of about 40 scientific works.
