After the resumption of full-time education, cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in Baku schools began to be observed again. Thus, 3 students in the 8th grade of secondary school No. 162 and 3 students in the 3rd grade of school No. 23 named after Tahir Hasanov were confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 yesterday. A similar incident was reported at the Baku-Oxford School. Due to the infection, one class went to distance education at the same school.

But if the infection continues, can full-time education be stopped in all schools in the country?

Answering Redaktor.az's question on the subject, MP Etibar Aliyev said that if the situation continues, classes can be suspended:

"The increase in infections in schools is not a good thing. The Ministry of Education made the decision to restore full-time education in the upper grades under certain conditions. If the number of infections increases, face-to-face instruction in the upper grades may be discontinued. In any case, teachers have a great responsibility here. Teachers should be extremely careful and not participate in mass events. Unfortunately, most teachers do not follow some rules. Serious work must be done to maintain social distance in the classrooms. I think that control over this process should not be relaxed. In this case, the responsibility lies mainly with the school administration and teachers. If the incidence of infection increases, the health factor should be highlighted. If the situation continues in this form, there will be a basis for schools to move to distance education.
