Like all settlements and other settlements in the Jabrayil region, which was occupied by the Armenian military for almost thirty years, the Jabrayil city secondary school named after academician Mehdi Mehdizadeh, where I studied, was destroyed. Like all educational institutions in the regions where Azerbaijanis were expelled from their native lands by the Armenian occupiers, the staff of this school did not break down, despite living a life of displacement. An experienced teaching staff looked forward to tomorrow. They were sure that one day they would return to their homeland, and they instilled this in their disciples, sowing the seeds of love in their hearts for their native lands.
The statement came from Ali Zalov, head of the Analytical and Organic Chemistry Department of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, 1983 graduate of the Jabrayil Secondary School named after Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor, Academician Mehdi Mehdizadeh.
He noted that during the visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the Jabrayil region on October 4, a number of infrastructure facilities, as well as a new building of the Jabrayil city secondary school named after academician Mehdi Mehdizadeh were laid. It was noted that the new school building, where 960 students will study, will have classrooms and subject rooms equipped with all kinds of inventory. A large sports ground will be built in the school yard, which is one of the important factors for a healthy generation. In short, the students of Jabrayil returning to their native lands will study in an educational institution that meets the most modern requirements. Along with this old 145-year-old high school, three more school buildings are planned to be built in Jabrayil.
This educational institution was established in 1876 and, thanks to the selfless work of enlightened people, was selected as one of the leading educational institutions in the country. Since its establishment, the school has played an important role in the formation and development of education, enlightenment in the Jabrayil region, and many well-known specialists in science, education, culture, economy and other fields have graduated from its graduates.
"I believe that this school, which was founded, will continue its rich pedagogical traditions, and the teaching staff will spare no effort and ability to deepen the knowledge of the younger generation, to form them as worthy children of the Motherland. This school will continue to play an invaluable role in the development of an educated and dignified young generation for the development of our country. I congratulate the entire educational community of Jabrayil region, the people of Jabrayil on the occasion of laying the foundation of this new school, and I wish the school staff to work in our native Jabrayil soon, "Zalov said.
