The Baku City Department of Education (BCDE) has launched a creative competition on "Ashig Alasgar and Azerbaijani folklore."
According to Tehsil.biz, the competition is held among students of VII-X grades of general education schools subordinated to BSTI.
The main purpose of the competition is to ensure the implementation of the "Action Plan of the Ministry of Education to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Ashug Alasgar" approved by the order of the Minister of Education, to acquaint students with the life and work of the master, Azerbaijani folklore and folk literature. to identify students with special talents, to form their artistic and aesthetic taste and to support the improvement of students' creativity.
The two-stage competition is held in three nominations: "Poetry", "Song" and "Creative Work". Participants can participate in the competition in only one nomination.
The first stage of the competition (school stage) will last until November 1, 2021. At the school stage, the best poets, singers and authors of creative work in the nominations from each school should be selected and information about them should be sent to the e-mail address ils.[email protected].
The winners will be determined by the Jury in the second city stage of the competition, which will be held from 2 to 25 November 2021.
During the evaluation in the "Poetry" and "Song" nominations, the performer's stage culture, presentation and time management skills (3-5 minutes), clarity, fluency and expressiveness of speech, use of appropriate gestures and facial expressions, and in the "Creative work" nomination relevance to the topic, interesting idea, ability to express ideas freely, artistic thinking, figurative thinking and expression, correct composition and originality of the idea will be taken as the main criteria. Each criterion will be evaluated with 5 points.
In the final stage of the competition, a total of 9 students will be determined as winners in each nomination, with 1 person taking 1st place, 1 person taking 2nd place and 1 person taking 3rd place. Also, 5 people will be awarded incentive places in the nominations of the competition, and 15 students will be awarded a "Certificate" for active participation.
The winners will be awarded diplomas and prizes by the ITUC, and teachers who prepare students for the competition will be awarded a "Certificate".
