In order to attract foreign citizens, a number of measures were taken, including the introduction of online and offline application systems, 24-hour response to appeals in Azerbaijani, Turkish, English and Russian, posting information about admission on the university's official pages and social networks.

It should be noted that compared to the same period last year, the number of foreigners applying to BSU this year increased by 60 percent. In the 2021-2022 academic year, 41 foreign students from 13 foreign countries were admitted to BSU. At the same time, the Ministry of Education sent 2 foreign students to the university on the basis of international agreements.

Out of 41 people admitted to BSU, 10 will study at the preparatory department, 22 at the bachelor's level in 12 specialties, and 9 at the master's level in 6 specialties. Among the accepted foreign students are citizens of Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, Hungary, Korea, China, Turkmenistan, Palestine, Chad, India and Indonesia.
