On the last day of the VII International Book Fair - October 10, a presentation of a book collection project "Let's go to Karabakh with a book" was held in the presentation area of ​​the Expo Center.

At the presentation, Director of the National Library Karim Tahirov spoke about the glorious victory of the Azerbaijani Army under the leadership of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev. Noting that the enemy completely destroyed historical monuments and cultural facilities, he said that 975 library buildings were destroyed during the occupation, and more than 4.6 million copies of their valuable books were looted and burned.

Speaking at the event, Director of the BSU Scientific Library Nigar Ismayilova said that Baku State University also joined the action.

He noted that to date, various faculties of the University have submitted about 1,000 books to the National Library. The Scientific Library of BSU will donate books from its rich fund to the campaign. These books will contribute to the restoration of libraries in Karabakh. "

At the end of the exhibition, participants presented their publications to the project.
