Rector of Azerbaijan University of Languages (AUL), academician Kamal Abdulla met with Mexican Ambassador to Azerbaijan Juan Rodrigo Labardini Flores.
The rector praised the various relations between the two countries. Abdullah spoke about the historic victory of Azerbaijan in the Great Patriotic War and touched upon the great role of our country in the region. It was noted that the 44-day Patriotic War ended with the Great Victory of Azerbaijan, and our occupied lands were liberated from the enemy.
K.Abdulla touched upon the great importance attached to the teaching of Spanish language at AUL and spoke about the international projects of the university in various directions. Inviting the diplomat to the "Ambassador's Hour" project of AUL, K.Abdulla said that the students were very interested in this project: "Of course, we are interested in cooperating with one of the leading universities in Mexico, implementing projects in various fields." If the embassy supports the establishment of such cooperation, we can invite professors of the university and exchange important experience.
Juan Rodrigo Labardini Flores stressed that cooperation in the field of education is a factor that brings the rights closer, as a priority of the organization he heads: “I believe that our cooperation in the field of education will bring our peoples closer. Thank you for encouraging students to learn Spanish, you pay great attention to this work. We appreciate your offer to cooperate with Mexican universities. At the same time, we consider future relations in the field of literature to be an important direction. This can help us to communicate in other areas. Because culture means great value, great influence.
At the meeting, People's Writer Kamal Abdulla presented the ambassador with his novel "Incomplete Manuscript", published in Portuguese.
